The Gents of St John's College, Cambridge

Formed of the choral and organ scholars of the world-renowned Choir of St John’s College, Cambridge, the Gents of St John’s. The Gents are noted for their versatility and range of repertoire, performing music spanning over 600 years, from the polyphony of the early renaissance all the way through to close-harmony arrangements of modern-day hits. The event will begin with the renowned Welsh composer Geraint Lewis, whose composition The Souls of the Righteous was performed a day after the Queen's death at St Paul's Cathedral. Geraint will reflect on the rise of St John's in the choral music world under Welsh choir master George Guest, and how many other Welsh students have been shaped by their experience at John's.
