Brecon Choir Festival is managed by Brecon Buzz, a Community Interest Company that was set up in January 2021 to engage with the needs and hopes of Brecon’s independent businesses and local residents.

Brecon Choir Festival which has become Buzz's main activity fulfils all of Brecon Buzz's core ambitions, namely:

• To work collaboratively and be a focal point where ideas can be developed and put into practice.

• To invite outside input from individuals and groups with similar ethos, model and remit to inspire blue sky thinking and new ways of working.

• To facilitate accessing funding for projects in the town when necessary and help to use it efficiently, effectively and at a pace that fits. 

Brecon Choir Festival has managed to secure funding for the children in all our catchment primary schools to have singing workshops as well as for specific Children’s Choruses for particular concerts. For the 2025 festival we managed to also secure funding for Children’s art workshops responding to the festival theme that year.

Brecon Buzz CIC maintains consistent and positive communication with our Town Council, our Chamber of Trade, Powys County Council, BBNPA & WAG as well as other groups in our area that work for the good of the town.

 Brecon Buzz CIC pays attention to the townscape, creates and supports events, always aiming to build the positive experience of the town for visitors and residents with a focus on culture, art, history and connection. In so doing Brecon Buzz CIC aims to continue and compliment work to improve Brecon's reputation as a town with a welcoming and unique offer and build much needed resilience for the future.

Other projects that we have worked on are delivering on a Brilliant Basics grant which created a new collaborative brand for the town of Brecon, worked with children to design and commission decorative welcome banners for the town, new town maps and signage as well as way marking of 4 key walks in and around Brecon. We supported local children to develop some product to be sold in local shops using their designs and the town brand. 

We continue to facilitate the opportunity for our local festivals to have welcome banners at the key entrances to the town.
