Young Singeres Award Finalists with adjudicators.jpeg

The final for our 2023 Young Singers Award was held in May with four finalists Charlie Gedge, Emma Kennedy, Erin Thomas and Georgia Barley all competing and singing to a very high standard. We are very grateful to our two adjudicators Delyth Blaney Taylor and Jeanette Massocchi for their insight on the day, as well as to Alan & Kath Davies for accompanying the young singers.

Erin Thomas was the winner of the event. Erin sang as the solo artist at the Festival’s Saturday night concert with Treorchy Male Choir and also had the opportunity to sing at a special event in front of Their Majesties The King and Queen on their first visit to Wales in Brecon Cathedral on the first day of the festival.
