Lyn trained as a teacher in Cyncoed, Cardiff and taught in the Brecon area throughout her teaching career, finishing as Head Teacher in Sennybridge Primary School. Throughout her teaching career, she shared her music expertise with countless pupils, conducting children’s choirs, orchestras and encouraging children in all musical activities.

She has been with the Aberhonddu and District Male Choir for over 47 years. She was the Choir’s accompanist for over 15 years and became their MD in 1991.

Lyn leads on the Young Singer Award for the festival.
